Notice to the SGCA community:
Last night, the Hamden Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) heard the Spring Glen Civic Association’s appeal regarding the permitting process for the property at 1715 Whitney Ave. in the Village District. Many residents attended the meeting and spoke. Our attorney, Josh Milrad, presented the issue to the ZBA Commission and members of the audience spoke in support of this effort. Again, the SGCA concern is with the process of permitting that occurred during the issuance of the permit for 1715 Whitney Ave. This property should have been reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission BEFORE a permit was granted.
The ZBA decided to table making their decision until the January 19, 2017 meeting. It will probably be held in the Legislative Council Chambers again, but we will make an announcement when it is finalized.
