LED Street Light Update

Happy spring LED Team!

We seem to be making progress behind the scenes, though still, annoyingly nothing firm to report. So…. we still need to keep letters and calls coming in to UI — and now Avangrid — to keep the pressure on.

Our Mid-April Action is called: Moving Up the UI/Avangrid food chain!! — Board of Directors, AVANGRID press contact, and more people to annoy at UI.

Hopefully by now you’ve got a one or two LED letters you’ve sent out to during one of our earlier letter campaigns. It would be really great if you had a minute in the next week or so to forward these same messages to one or several of the folks on this new list of contacts. Don’t worry too much about changing your letters, just getting them under the eyeballs of new people is the most important thing. (if you’re new to this group, please PM for some sample language and pointers to talking points, etc.)

Some details here, and then the whole list at the bottom of the post.

Bob Pattison scored some contacts from the board of directors of UIs parent company Avangrid, and whaddya know, Hamden’s own President of Quinnipeac University John Lahey sits on the board of directors for Avangrid. The three addresses here are for the members of the Avangrid board who also happen to be academics (and incidentally the only folks we could track down email addresses for).

Carol Lynn Folt ,
Alan D. Solomont ,
John Lahey

Then there’s the Media contact person for Avangrid:

Michael West
203.499.3858
Michael West ,

Lastly, here is a cache of email addresses for folks who were at the UI meeting that I didn’t realize I had, but that Julie Erin Smith kindly reminded that she had given me in *February* right after the meeting. (palm, meet forehead … ugh).

More UI Contacts
Rick Allen ,
Joseph Thomas ,
Sharon Pask ,
Michael Zaffina

Here’s the whole list if you just want to copy/paste into your email:
Michael West ,
Carol Lynn Folt ,
Alan D. Solomont ,
John Lahey ,
Rick Allen ,
Joseph Thomas ,
Sharon Pask ,
Michael Zaffina
Thanks so much to all of you. I appreciate all of the letters and calls that have gone out and I hope we can come to a positive resolution soon.
Regards, Christina
